Over the next couple of days, folks will announce new years resolutions left and right. Me included. Some goals will be to lose weight… some to gain weight. Some to save money…some to give more away. Some to find new jobs…some to actually show up on time for the one they have lol. #NoJudgment

In the past, I’ve been quick to say “it shouldn’t take a new year to make changes.” True, it shouldn’t. But sometimes, it does. My Dad said he decided one day to quit smoking, so he quit that day. My mom had a different process – more gradual and methodical. Both are now non-smokers, but the path to that point was just different because they’re wired differently.

So whether improvement starts on January 1 or some random day in May, I’m making it a point to encourage my people a little more on reaching their goals. The end/beginning of a year is as good a time as any…It’s a good time to stop, reflect, reset, and go in a better direction. So if it takes a new year to start becoming a new you… dope. #Encourage2014
